Hi there-
Thanks for reaching out, and sorry to hear about this issue with the tuner on your Model One. Before anything else, I think we should try the tuning dial exercise.
My first instinct whenever I hear about tuning troubles is to try the tuning dial exercise. Sometimes in our units with analog tuners, the lubricant inside the tuning dial can settle, which will affect the accuracy and stability of the tuning dial. A quick fix for this that some of our customers have found useful is listed below:
- Unplug the unit and turn it upside down for about four hours. This will help the lubricant settle in the opposite direction that it usually does.
- Turn the unit right side up, plug it in and turn it on.
- With the volume all the way down, and in FM or AM mode, slowly turn the tuning dial from one side to the other, over and over for about five minutes.
I can't promise this will fix the issues you're having, but I have hope that maybe it will help. If this process doesn't help, please reach out to our support team at info@tivoliaudio.com, and we'll see how best to remedy the situation. Thanks again!
