How do I connect my smart device to my Model One Digital via Bluetooth?

Press the Power/Source/Volume knob to turn the Model One Digital on. Short press the knob to change your source. When the Display shows “Bluetooth”, you are in Bluetooth mode. For the first time you connect, you’ll need to press and hold the Tuning Bezel to enable Pairing Mode. The screen will show “Pairing Enabled”. Now open the Bluetooth settings on your smart device. Under available devices, look for Tivoli M1D3_XXXXXX. Select this to pair. You’ll notice the screen confirm the pairing with a “Pairing Success” message.

How do I use the Tivoli Audio Setup App?

The Tivoli Audio Setup app is available for free on both the Apple App and Google Play stores. This app is required for Android users to connect the Model One Digital to WiFi, and optional for Apple users. Both Andoird and Apple users are required to use this app to activate Google Cast. Setup is easy! After you have downloaded the app, enable location permissions and access to WiFi and Bluetooth. Follow the onscreen prompts to connect your speaker to WiFi. Once your speaker has connected to WiFi, you will be prompted to enable Google Cast. You may skip this step if you do not plan on using your speaker through Google Home.

How do I connect my smart device to my Model One Digital with Google Cast?

Install the Tivoli Audio Setup App, if you do not already have it installed on your smart device. Make sure your smart device is set to the same network you intend to use to set up your Model One Digital. Press the Power/Source/Volume knob to turn the Model One Digital on. Short press the knob to change your source. When the Display shows “WiFi”, you are in WiFi Mode. The Model One Digital should automatically enter WiFi Setup Mode after initializing, but if it does not: press the Setup button on the rear panel. Now open the Tivoli app on your smart device. Select “+Add” section in the bottom menu to initiate setup. Follow the directions in the app to set up a new device. Once connected, the display will confirm if the WiFi connection was successful. After the Model One Digital has connected to WiFi, the Setup app will prompt you to activate Google Cast. Once activated, navigate to the Google Home app and look under the Devices tab. The Model One Digital will be available under “Local Devices”, tap and go to the Settings Menu to add the Model One Digital to your Home.

How do I use Google Cast?

After you’ve connected your Model One Digital to WiFi and activated Google Cast with the Tivoli Audio Setup app, your speaker now works with Google Cast. You can use Google Cast from any Google Cast-enabled app. Open the selected App on your smart device. Select the Cast button in the app. Select your Model One Digital speaker and then press Play in the app.

How do I connect my smart device to my Model One Digital with Apple Airplay?

Make sure your iOS device is set to the same network you intend to use to set up your Model One Digital. Press the Power/Source/Volume knob to turn the Model One Digital on. Short press the knob to change your source. When the Display shows “WiFi”, you are in WiFi Mode. The Model One Digital should automatically enter WiFi Setup Mode after initializing, but if it does not, press the Setup button on the rear panel. On your iOS device, go to the WiFi settings. Scroll down till you see “Setup New Airplay Speaker” and select “Tivoli Audio M1D3_XXXXXX”. At this time, you can rename your speaker (which we recommend) and create an optional password. Then select “Next” and wait for the connection. Once you see the connection confirmation, select “Done”. Once connected, the display will show a confirmation.

How to use AirPlay

Once you’ve connected via Apple AirPlay, you can stream your audio to your Model One Digital. Make sure your iOS device is on the same network as your Model One Digital. On your iOS device, open the Control Center. Press and hold the audio card in the upper right corner, then tap AirPlay. Select your Model One Digital from the list of available devices.

I can’t complete WiFi setup.

First, make sure your smart device is connected to your preferred WiFi network and that your Bluetooth is on. Next, turn off the Model One Digital. Close the Tivoli Audio Setup app on your smart device. Turn the Model One Digital back on and make sure it’s in Wifi Mode. Now, open the Home app again on your smart device and go through the steps again.

How do I group my Model One Digital to my other speakers via Google Home.

Make sure your Model One Digital is turned on and connected via Google Home. Next, open the Home app and tap Settings, then +Add, and finally Speaker group. Tap each device you want to add to the group. A checkmark will appear next to the selected speakers. Once all your speakers are selected, tap Next, and enter your desired group name. Tap Save when you are complete. This speaker group will show as an availble speaker in any Google Cast-enabled app.

How do I group my Model One Digital to my other speakers via Apple AirPlay.

Make sure your Model One Digital is turned on and connected to WiFi. Open the Control Center on your iOS device. Tap the AirPlay button in the upper right corner. You can then select each speaker you want to stream your current audio to.

I can't find the Model One Digital in my smart device’s Bluetooth menu:

• On your smart device, confirm that you have the latest software version. You may need to update to the latest version. • On your smart device, open your Bluetooth list. • Turn on the radio by pressing the Power/Source/Volume knob. • Press the source button till the screen displays “Bluetooth”. • Look for the Tivoli Audio Bluetooth address: “Tivoli M1D3_XXXXXX”. • Select this to connect. Both your smart device and the display on the Model One Digital should confirm the connection.

No sound in Bluetooth mode.

If you are unable to hear audio, try pausing and then playing your audio source. This will refresh the stream of audio or will indicate if there is an issue with your Wi-Fi. If you are connecting with a music service that requires the speaker to be selected in the native app, please confirm the correct speaker(s) is connected.

I can’t connect via Apple AirPlay

Please confirm you are using an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch with iOS 11.4 or later, or are using a Mac with iTunes 12.8 or later

I’m unable to find my speaker in Spotify/Apple Music/QPlay/Tidal Music for Google Cast.

You will need to select the Google Cast option in each app. Find the Google Cast icon located in the respective app to connect your Model One Digital speaker. If you cannot find the Cast button, check if you are connected to the same Wi-Fi as your speaker. Then, try closing the app and re-opening it. You may need to open the player controls in the app you are using.

I’ve connected via AirPlay but I’m not hearing sound from the speaker:

• On your Apple device, open the Control Center. • For iPhone X and newer, swipe down from the top-right corner of the screen. • For older models, swipe from the bottom on the screen. • At the top right of the music section, press the AirPlay icon. • You can now select the speaker you want to play audio to.

AirPlay audio skips when locking or unlocking my phone, or while switching apps:

Turn Bluetooth off on your IOS device. After turning off Bluetooth, play music normally through AirPlay.

What to do when I cannot connect to my Model One Digital:

• Check you are connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your device. • Next, turn the Model One Digital off and on again. • Wait for the Model One Digital to reconnect to the WiFi network. • Next, open your music app of choice. After selecting the song you wish to play, tap the Google Cast or AirPlay buttons within the music app. • Select the Model One Digital as your source. • Once selected, press play and then you should hear the music playing through the speaker.
