Model One Digital

I've spent years working in the audio / video sector and have always heard about Henry Kloss and the Model One but never had a chance to hear one in person. I've redone my home audio system and wanted something for my nightstand that was relatively compact, modern looking and supported AirPlay 2 / Chromecast.

So when Tivoli had their recent sale on the Model One Gen 2, I jumped on it and am glad I did. I've had the radio now for about 3 weeks and immediately loved the look of the radio, it compliments my contemporary looking condo in downtown Chicago perfectly. My only challenge was configuring the Model One to my home network, it took two times but once configured, it's been very reliable. Now I've been enjoying throwing my music via my iPhone to the Model One effortlessly but I also love switching to the radio and enjoying my mornings listening to NPR. [I am seriously considering a second Model One for my kitchen but would prefer the Music System but with AirPlay 2]

If you're looking for an elegant, modern looking WiFi capable speaker with AM/FM support and that sounds spacious and clear, with nice bass, you want to seriously consider the Model One Gen 2.

The radio does as described, and works great with Apple Play 2 -- my primary use of it. I also listen to FM radio in the AM, and it does that well, too.

The menus are of course wonky, the auto-time setting on various smart-radio stations doesn't work, and the capture of the power on take a good 10 seconds - perhaps all curable by a firmware update? Don't know. Please consider!
