For some reason, I’m having a hard time getting the antenna to stand upright. I have to lean it against the nearby wall. If I don’t to this, I have little to no reception. I have tightened it at the site as best as I can.

Thanks for your review. Our telescopic FM antenna needs to be tightened fully in order to stand up straight. We recommend using pliers or another tool to tighten that hex piece on the coaxial port if trying with your fingers proves inefficient.
